To Keep You On Your Feet And Not Your Seat!

Of course, along with growing older and wiser, there are some adverse physical consequences. As people age, their muscle strength, coordination, and balance slowly decrease. Older people begin to loose reflex control and timing. But for many, their minds are sharp, alert, and active. This sometimes causes a quandary for active older adults. They want to engage in the activities of life but are sometimes restrained due to physical limitations.

Fortunately for some, today's modern medical and technological advances provide life-enhancing years. People are living longer and living better. But one ageless remedy is still the best solution for getting the most out of our years--fitness. Yet, one FALL can change all that!

"How To Prevent Falls, Better Balance, Independence and Energy in 6 Simple Steps"™ and our Stretching In Bed guide is changing lives and people's attitudes about fitness. Betty's Balance System®, on which her work is based are the key elements in creating a healthier, happier person and you don't have to be a Senior to engage in a fun and easy balance program.

Staggering Information

Information on Elder Falls Prevention from the National Council on Aging: "One in three seniors falling each year, the annual medical costs for treating them are now over $28 billion!" With our "6 Steps To Better Balance" program, it is our hope to cut these costs down. It is by having young and old use our activites that are powerful yet so very simple. It is our goal here at Senior Fitness, Inc. to be able to enrich and extend the lives of seniors by providing life-enhancing and empowering fitness program. We strive to take the fear out of falling.

No One Is Immune To Falling
Toddlers tumble frequently. Teens slip and slide through the "awkward stages." And adults often suffer accidental falls simply because their attention is distracted. By the time they become Seniors, falling is the most common, life-threatening hazard. Reducing the risk of falling has become not only a real priority across America but a real possibility, too. By practicing and repeating proven successful movements and activities within our "6 Step Balance Program" one can strengthen muscular strength which is so needed for correction of balance errors. We are actually improving balance and helping to prevent falls and serious injuries with our "6 Step Balance Program". Hope you will check it out!!!Wink

Prevention is better than cure and one of the dangers for seniors is that sometimes they forget how many times they have felt giddy or fallen over. Your program is one that young seniors can get into and make a difference to their lives. Keep up the good work. How I keep healthy

Betty's Fitnote For This Week
The purpose of the "6 Step Balance System" is to promote preserving independence and keeping people in their own homes. The first step in this system is stretching and her Fitnote for this week comes from Bob Anderson, Author of Stretching which says, "The point of stretching isn't so you can scratch your ears with your feet. It's so you can climb in and out of the car with ease, slip into your coat and pick-up change from the sidewalk." So we strive with our balance exercises to keep you on your feet and not your seat!!
